Conference Venue

The 17th International Conference on Frontiers of Polymers and Advanced Materials, ICFPAM 2026, will be held from September 6 to 9, 2026 in Krakow, Poland (Central Europe) at the AGH University Campus.
AGH University of Krakow, located in the heart of Krakow, offers a vibrant academic environment, state-of-the-art research facilities, and a rich history of scientific excellence.

Note for those who consult other texts or maps: in Polish, AGH University of Krakow reads as „Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza”.

The conference is organized directly by the two faculties of AGH University – the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science and the Faculty of Materials and Ceramics – under the auspices of the Rector of AGH. The AGH University campus is situated in an ideal location, just a short walk away from the historical city center.

Kraków, the city of culture – basic facts

• Krakow is located in the southern part of Poland, in a valley at the foot of the Carpathians, 219 meters above sea level. It is situated halfway between the Jurassic Upland in the north and the Tatras in the south
• The city’s origins are traced back earlier than the seventh century AD.
• In the past, Kraków was the capital of Poland.
• Historically, Krakow has been a preeminent center for Polish and European academic, cultural, and artistic endeavors. Notably, Nicolaus Copernicus, the renowned astronomer, pursued his studies at the Jagiellonian University, which was established in 1364.
• In 1978, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) established the inaugural list of World Heritage Sites, which included the entire Old Town of Kraków.
• The downtown area (the Main Market Square encircled by a network of narrow streets) is the city’s historical center. This area, which has remained largely unaltered over the years, boasts a rich heritage, with numerous museums, cultural events, and a wide array of dining options and accommodations. The city’s international reputation attracts a diverse crowd of visitors and tourists, contributing to a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere.
